Villeurbanne is the second largest city in the metropolitan area of Lyon. The Gratte-Ciel neighborhood is a unique Art Deco heritage site of extraordinary public works dating from 1924. Redeveloped by In Situ Landscape Architects in 2007, the unity of a generous pedestrian area was restored. In the center of the plaza, the basins gently overflow. Arching jets randomly rise up and down. The bottom pool is coated with a polished blue surface and painted glass cast (by Philippe Favier), creating beautiful reflections.
